Dear diary,and to you. this grandma has much to talk about today.I have been reading other blogs,but most I forgot to comment.I plan to go back ,because there were some I that were saying what I was thinking.I want to talk some again today, about the high gas prices ,and offer some little things I am doing because of the gas prices.I have been thinking about parents who are struggling through this ,and especially the single mother's with several children.In my state we have many low income single parents.This is something I am doing ;and you may already do this;I buy whole milk and then I dilute the milk.I pour half water,or more,into canning jars.It seems the seal on the jars also keeps the milk longer.I have tried this,milk in the container,and in the sealed jar.The milk in the jars was good for several more days. Another,buy fruits and vegetables,and less meat.Use the car less by thinking about how many things you can accomplish in one trip vs several trips.Generic products,some of the generic products are just as good as name brands,some are better.I try to grocery shop on the day of instore sales.some may say the sales are products that are out dated,however,I have bought things like bananas for .29 a pound.The bananas were ripe,vs the new ones that are not.I have bought alot of produce like this.Also,one store is increasing prices alot,while another store is having more sales,and on products we use all the time.Ok,I think that is enough ,unless someone comments to know more.Remember,pay it forward.
